London, 24 June 2026 – The recently launched AION V all-electric family SUV has the perfect solution for staying cool on the move as the country faces the prospect of record-breaking temperatures this week. It’s the only car on sale in the UK with the option of a built-in freezer, and AION is sweetening every test drive with a refreshing side helping of free ice cream* until the end of June.

Just one of the AION V’s stand-out features, the centre console CoolHot Box is a generous 6.6-litre temperature-controlled compartment with the capacity to keep several tubs of ice cream frozen, drinks cold or takeaways hot. It can operate between -15 degrees to +50 degrees Celsius. It comes as part of the AION V’s optional Premium Pack.

Even as standard, the AION V allows occupants to embrace the heat while keeping cool inside, thanks to multi-zone climate control air-conditioning and ventilated cooling front seats. Class-leading interior space also means passengers enjoy plenty of personal space, while a full-length panoramic sunroof with retractable shade means passengers can choose whether to soak up the sun’s rays or keep them at bay.

Test drives are available at every AION retailer across the UK – the first wave of which opened on 1 June. Customer deliveries of the new AION V are underway. AION aims to open 30 sites by the end of the year as part of its plan for long-term sustainable growth in the UK.

Prices start from £36,450 OTR, with flexible PCP offers over 18 - 48 months starting from £379 per month (2.9 percent APR Representative)** through AION Financial Services. The Premium Pack, which includes the CoolHot Box, massage front seats, and genuine leather seating, is a £1,495 option.

AION will launch its second model, the UT family hatchback, by the end of 2026, and two further models in 2027. The brand plans to offer a family of seven electrified cars, including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) and Range-Extended Electric Vehicles (REEVs), by 2030.
