London, 17 June 2026 – AION, the newcomer brand that has just launched the segment-defying AION V SUV, has appointed Jumptech to help fulfil its promise of ‘Effortless Electrification’, a brand ethos which aims to simplify the electric vehicle (EV) ownership experience from day one.

London, 10 June 2026 – With the launch of the AION V electric family SUV, AION Auto UK, the latest Chinese brand to launch in the UK, is raising the bar for effortless car ownership by introducing the country’s most robust and reassuring new car warranty.

London, 8 June 2026 – The first wave of AION retail and service sites in the UK have opened their doors to the public. Located strategically in or near major towns and cities, the first wave of sites is a strong statement of intent from AION, signalling the ambition for the upper-mainstream brand to grow sustainably over the long-term. The brand is on track to expand its retail footprint to 15 sites by the end of June, with a target of doubling that to 30 by the end of the year.

London, 29 May 2026 – AION Auto UK’s Managing Director, Jon Wakefield, welcomed senior representatives from its joint venture partners - GAC International and Jameel Motors - to an exclusive event at its new flagship headquarters on the outskirts of London to formally celebrate the start of sales for the newcomer brand. They were also joined by retailer and strategic partners.

London, 16 December 2025 – AION Auto UK has appointed Alex Key as its Marketing Director as the brand prepares for its UK launch in 2026. Key brings more than 20 years of automotive marketing experience and will report directly to Managing Director, Jon Wakefield.

The new AION V electric family SUV has been awarded a group 32 insurance rating, one of the lowest among emerging brands in this segment. The favourable rating follows exhaustive collaboration with Thatcham Research to optimise the car and its supporting ecosystem ahead of its launch later this month.
